The sinner's blood descendants or the Sin Clan descendants will only be revealed quite late in the novel. If you want to know then here's the spoiler, otherwise just skip it and go with the flow.

I'm not sure if you remember, I once mentioned about a great ancient war where most top level powerhouse of 9Heavens & 10 Earths (9H10E) died protecting their world from the evil invaders.

Sin Clan is among the most righteous clans. Their ancestors were framed by some really bad seeds of 9H10E when they volunteered to behead those leaders who were infected by the dark blood. Imagine a virus that can corrupt anyone and turn them into mindless evil puppets upon any blood contact. So those infected begged their friends to kill them before they become the source of transmission.

Furthermore, the Sin Clan leaders even volunteered to stay behind to man the borders but they sent some of their descendants away to preserve their clan's bloodline. Of course, everyone else also left and only the Sin Clan Leaders remained at the borders risking their lives to keep 9H10E safe. Because of their righteousness, a hidden power flows in their blood and will manifest itself as the symbol of "glory" but those asshats change the narrative saying that is the symbol of "sin" (like the Mark of Cain in the Bible) when they cruelly killed their own compatriots.

Of course, hundreds of thousands of years later, no one really knew the truth anymore except those traitors who fabricated this whole lie. Their descendants continue to condemn and oppress the sinner's blood descendants until this day and those are the people SH meets at the entrance, who forbid the sinner's blood from entering Immortal Ancient (that's the place where the Battle of the Genius is held).

New edit: The people in the Lower Realm are also called the sinner's descendants but their history is not quite related to the Sin Clan in the upper realm although many descendants from the Sin Clan actually went to the Lower Realm and founded the Stone Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom. The reason why ALL inhabitants of the lower realm are called the sinner's descendants is because the people in the upper realm believe that lower realm is a place where prisoners are banished and locked up. Hence, anyone living there are descendants from these condemned prisoners, in other words sinner's descendants.

I think in one of the recent episodes Shi Hao got a glimpse into the past and saw them fighting the demons or something like that.

Yeah... in a way SH is like Heaven's compensation for the Sinner's blood descendants for all the oppressions and defamations they have suffered. That's why he's so gifted and can instinctively connect to the past events. That's also the reason why he's born with the supreme bone and Shi Yi is born with double pupils. It's very rare for any clan to have such gifted individual in any generation, let alone two in the same generation.

I believe people from the lower realm were once people from the sinner's clan. I'm at chapter 1400 in the LN and its still not clear why their ancestor are called sinner.
